Dr. Raymond C. Raines was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Auburn University from 1972 through 1980, earning a bachelors degree in microbiology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, both with high honor. After graduation in 1980, Dr. Raines joined the staff of Tyrone Veterinary Hospital. In 1986, Dr. Raines became a partner. Dr. Raines has been very active in the local Veterinary community holding various offices including the presidency of both the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Association and the Pinellas Animal Foundation. For this work, he was awarded The Young Achievers Award from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 and two Gold Star Awards from the Florida Veterinary Medical Association in 1990 and 1997. Dr. Raines is married and has two daughters, Abby and Sarah. His wife, Debbie, is an instructor in the Veterinary Technology program at St. Petersburg College. They live in Seminole.  Outside of the practice, his major activity is playing golf.


Dr. Ed Kistemaker graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University in 1988. He was awarded the Gentle Doctor Award - selected by classmates as the student they would prefer treat their own animal. After graduation Dr. Kistemaker worked in Tampa until joining Tyrone Veterinary Hospital in 1992.


Dr. Stephanie Livermore was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College. Universty of Guelph, with honours in 2008. Dr. Livermore moved to St. Petersburg in 2010 to join Tyrone Veterinary Hospital. Her main interests are dentistry, oncology, preventative and geriatric medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Livermore enjoys snuggling with her two miniature dachshunds, Ozma and Edwyn, and her three-legged cat, Arthur. She also has a deep love and appreciation for music, performance arts, and travel.


Dr. Veronica was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico where she completed a bachelor’s in Biology. She then moved to the states for her veterinary degree which was completed in Alabama at the University of Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.

Her veterinary medicine and surgery career began in Birmingham, AL, continued in Texas and then on to Connecticut where she spent the past 13 years before joining us here in Florida for the warm weather.

When not taking care of her patients she enjoys checking out new restaurants, reading at the beach or by the pool and traveling to visit her son in Savannah who studies animation at SCAD.
